This beginner’s yoga series offers new students a clear and effective way to learn about yoga. In each class you will be introduced to the basic structure of a yoga class and learn how body, mind and breath work together to create an artful craft of conscious movement and deep relaxation.
This class series is designed to meet you where you are now, welcoming new students,teachers and practitioners alike. The main goal with this series is to educate you about what yoga is and how to establish a well-rounded, foundational knowledge for your own personal practice.
You will learn the basic form of the most common yoga postures, the action and alignment that supports those postures and how to care for your body as you develop your practice. The tools learned in these classes will provide the support you need to safely participate in any yoga class, while evolving the sensibility of your own inner teacher, your self-awareness. No matter what level of experience you have or physical limitations, these beginner level classes are open to everyone.
Through various techniques of movement, breathing exercises and mindfulness practice we will invite your body to open with kindness, center your mind with ease, and bring you into a deeply expansive state of connection, clarity and compassion.
